COL Webinar: How do students think and feel about ChatGPT in Cyprus?
Overview:
Over the past year or so, Generative AI has caught the education world by storm. In the context of rapid developments in Large Language Models (LLMs), such as #ChatGPT, the @COL4D Chair at the Open University of Cyprus @oucyprus, Professor Michalinos Zembylas and Dr Eleni Chistodoulou undertook a research study to bring students’ perspectives to the forefront. The study investigated how students think, feel about, and engage with the role of LLMs in higher education contexts in the future. This webinar will present the findings of this study, discuss ethical and pedagogical LLM use as well as recommendations for stakeholders, particularly in response to the identified student needs.
