Are you an emerging communicator looking to build practical experience while contributing to education and sustainable development across the Commonwealth?

The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is seeking a paid Communications Intern/Co-op Student to join our team as part of COL’s Communications Co-op Student and Internship Programme. The programme offers students and emerging professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in writing and editing, social media, digital campaigns, audiovisual storytelling, website management, and communications analytics within an intergovernmental organisation.

We are looking for a creative, curious and proactive post-secondary student in Metro Vancouver with strong writing skills, an interest in digital communications and a commitment to inclusive engagement. Recent graduates who completed their studies within the past six months may also be considered.

Applications are open until 30 September 2026 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Early applications are encouraged.

A regional leader in verifiable micro-credentials and digital public infrastructure, Trinidad and Tobago is helping to strengthen labour mobility, economic growth, and national resilience. As a small state of the Commonwealth, it also brings valuable perspectives on climate pressures and the skills needed for emerging blue and green economies.

COL looks forward to continuing our work with Trinidad and Tobago to widen access through open schooling, strengthen the quality of open and distance education, and build capacity for technology-enabled learning.
