Meet and Greet: Advancing Collaboration for Open and Inclusive Learning in India
During his visit to India, Professor Peter Scott, President and CEO of the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), met with education leaders, government officials, and ambassadors at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
Discussions focused on strengthening open schooling, teacher education, vocational and higher education, and technology-enhanced learning, key areas where COL and India continue to collaborate for large-scale impact.
Professor Scott also shared COL’s innovations in AI, digitalisation, and new business models for skills and employability, alongside insights from Dr B. Shadrach, Director of CEMCA.
Together, all educational leaders reaffirmed their commitment to inclusive, future-ready education systems through knowledge exchange and sustained collaboration across the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission to collectively advance digital learning, open education, and teacher development across the Eastern Caribbean region.
Through this strategic partnership we will:
- Jointly develop and share Open Educational Resources (OER).
- Strengthen digital pedagogy and teacher-training initiatives.
- Foster resilient, inclusive education systems that reach every learner.
Together, we are working to make technology-enabled education accessible, relevant and future-ready for all learners in the OECS region.

Beyond the Forum: Rethinking Open Education Together
Following the momentum of PCF11, the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is launching a new post-Forum webinar series, Beyond the Forum, to continue the conversation on transforming education through openness, innovation, and inclusion.
The first webinar of four draws on sub-theme 1 of PCF11 around “Changing Mindsets for Inclusive Open Education,” explores how Open Educational Resources (OER) and open practices can enhance teaching and learning across diverse disciplines.
