Led by UN Women and UN’s Generation Unlimited, with contributions from UNICEF, United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, International Labour Organization and COL, the webinar supports the Global Youth and Adolescents Recommendations for the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) process. Following the webinar, participants will share their reflections on the key barriers to accessing justice, particularly in the contexts of violence and discrimination.

COL, in partnership with the National Universities Commission in Nigeria, will bring together education leaders and stakeholders from across the country for a national workshop to shape a Draft National Micro-credential Framework next month.
In preparation, COL is supporting technical working teams to develop a status review report on micro-credentials in Nigeria, helping to ensure the workshop discussions are evidence-based and informed by national priorities.
This work builds on COL’s Micro-Credential Framework and momentum from similar workshops held across the region last year.

Dr Schontal Moore, Adviser: Virtual University for Small States of the Commonwealth (VUSSC) at COL, recently represented COL at the soft launch of The Advancing Caribbean Teachers (ACT) in Mathematics Education project in Grenada.
The Advancing Caribbean Teachers (ACT) in Mathematics Education project, led by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), is a regional initiative enhancing primary and secondary math teaching in the Caribbean by boosting teacher capacity in conceptual understanding, gender-responsive pedagogy, and technology integration.
Using blended learning methods and engaging teaching models such as CPA (Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract) to foster confident, student-centred learning, the project aims to improve teacher capacity and regional math performance across the Caribbean.
