Building Solidarity: COL and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, has expressed his appreciation for “COL as an institution of solidarity and underscored the importance of e-learning for St Vincent and the Grenadines, especially in light of his government’s plan to have at least one graduate per household by 2030. Leaders like Prime Minister Gonsalves are recognising the importance of organisations such as #COL4D in fostering cooperation and supporting education initiatives around the world.

In the face of challenges such as the eruption of La Soufrière volcano in April 2021, which caused significant disruption to education in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, COL stood in solidarity with the people of the Eastern #Caribbean island nation. Through partnerships and innovative solutions, COL provided crucial support to ensure that learning could continue even amidst adversity.

One such initiative highlighted in the article is COLs collaboration with the Ministry of Education #MoE (@StvincentGren) and St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College to develop and deliver online learning resources. These resources proved to be invaluable during times when schools were closed due to volcanic activity, enabling students to access quality education from the safety of their homes.

But COLs impact goes beyond just providing immediate assistance during crises. COL is committed to long-term partnerships and #CapacityBuilding efforts that empower individuals and institutions to thrive in the digital age. By investing in education and technology, COL is helping to create a brighter future for the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and beyond.
